Hender Scheme（エンダースキーマ）が運営する「物々交換」をコンセプトとしたオルタナティブスペース「隙間」は、2024年5月25日(土)より、福村 龍太「人工物の自然美」を開催します。
隙間は、福村龍太による「人工物の自然美」を開催します。 福村龍太は、福岡県うきは市を拠点に活動する陶芸家。1989年生まれの福村は、「日月窯」の二代目として、伝統からのインスピレーションと素材の新たな可能性を探求する作品を作陶しています。登り窯で焼かれる陶器は、鉱物や天然灰、銀釉を組み合わせ、陶芸において見過ごされたり、失敗とみなされる仕上がりに価値を見出すなど、独自の技法と唯一無二の造形、手触りを実現します。
「人工物の自然美」は、福村が2023年本ギャラリーで開催された西坂晃一（白日）「substream」への参加経験を踏まえ、構想されました。「substream」でも発表したタイル片による壁掛け作品の新作と、様々なサイズや形、釉薬による大壺を中心に構成される本展は、無機質なギャラリーの空間内に、自然素材と人の協働によって生み出された陶芸作品たちが置かれることで、人工物と自然物が織り重なる場をつくり出します。
福村の新たな表現に向けられた意欲的な本展を、ぜひこの機会にご覧ください。
